“Señales” is Eme Alfonso’s debut album; she was looking for an experimental sound at the beginning of her music compositions. “Señales” was awarded as “Best fusion album” in 2009 at the Cubadisco Awards and was the starting point of the artist’s career.

The album defines Eme inside the Cuban music scene as one of the most innovator and unique singers of her generation. The NPR (National Public Radio of America) defines her as “The New Cuban Sound”. The music on this record has it’s own style. The album once again won the Cubadisco award for “Best Pop-Fusion album” 2013.

As composer, she co-writes with Pedro Luis Ferrer and invites several interpreters to be part of this songs, such as: Harold López-Nussa, Gastón Joya, Diana Fuentes, San Miguel Pérez, Ruzzo (Orishas) and Esteban Puebla, among others. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Michael Olivera and Adolfo Martínez (Fito), it was recorded in Havana at Silvio Rodríguez’s studio Ojalá.
